MoveAbout offers therapeutic groups to support the individualised needs of children. We do not open groups to anyone but rather match the child to the group and peers in order to ensure that it is a therapeutic match.
As children continue to expand their social interactions, MoveAbout may provide them with an appropriately matched social group. Social groups incorporate philosophies of the DIR/Floortime® and may also follow a set program such as the Social Thinking program®.
Groups may also focus on the development of self-regulation such as the Alert Program for Self-Regulation® or the Zones of Regulation®.
Our Recess Readiness and Whole Body Handwriting groups have been designed by MoveAbout OTs to support the school roles of the children.
