+ “Do I need a referral to make an appointment at MoveAbout Therapy Services?“
No, you do not need a referral to bring your child to MoveAbout, unless you will be claiming a Medicare rebate. Parent referral is all that is needed. Please contact us if you would like any further information about referrals.
+ “How can I best prepare my child for their assessment?“
It’s normal to feel nervous when you are doing something for the first time, but being fully informed about the process can help. Understanding what to expect when visiting a MoveAbout clinic can help you and your child feel prepared. The great thing about occupational therapy is that it can be a lot of fun! + “Am I eligible for Government funding?“
Possibly. The best place to identify if you are eligible for any type of funding is your GP. They can best advise you on what is available within your specific circumstances.
+ “Are you a registered NDIS provider?“
MoveAbout Therapy Services is a registered NDIS provider. Feel free to call us on 02 4389 1812 if you have any questions.
+ “Is therapy covered by private health funds?“
Each private health fund is different, with various levels of cover offered. Please contact your health insurance fund directly to enquire if they cover therapy services.
+ “Do you offer telehealth services?“
We understand that life can get busy and things like sickness can get in the way of our schedules. Whilst in-person consultations are preferable, if it is not possible and remote delivery is an appropriate option for your specific appointment we can arrange a telehealth service.

+ “Do you offer school observation services?“
Although most therapy is provided at a MoveAbout clinic, a school consultation can be provided as needed to complement clinic-based therapy. If this is a requirement, your therapist will discuss this with you in advance.
+ “Does MoveAbout offer home based services?“
MoveAbout primary mode of delivery is in-clinic therapy. However, in consultation with your therapist, MoveAbout can offer an off-site visit where deemed necessary by the therapist, to support therapeutic goals for the child.
+ “How long are sessions?“
A standard consultation is about 50 minutes in duration. Please call us on 02 4389 1812 if you’d like more information about the duration of your specific appointment.
