M.O.R.E 2.0 – Integrating the Mouth with Sensory and Postural Functions

M.O.R.E. is an acronym for a framework recognising the influence of the suck-swallow-breathe (SSB) synchrony on all aspects of development and function from infancy through adulthood. It reflects the relationships among Motor action, Oral skill, Respiration and Eyes. In this course, you’ll deepen your understanding of how the SSB synchrony influences all aspects of development and function, and why it is such a critical factor in dysfunction. You’ll learn how oral-motor and respiratory coordination impact sensory processing, motor control, regulation, feeding, communication, and overall development.
